The paper is Butterfly Kisses by Paper Studio. The stack includes matching cardstock which is handy. I used my Cricut and the CTMH Artiste cartridge to cut the butterflies. The stamps are an older retired CTMH set, Princess Wings.

She is heavily into Tinkerbell. Since I bought her a "pirate fairy" dress up set (from the pirate Tinkerbell movie), I looked for fairy inspiration on Pinterest as a start for her card.
I was inspired by this design from Tracy at Callmecraftie, and made this sweet 1-of-a-kind card.
The paper stack is Butterfly Kisses by Paper Studio which has the "just right" shades of purple and green. I layered a magical-looking swish patterned paper on purple for the background.
Of course, with a princess niece, I have the Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge. I found all of the die cuts on this cartridge: the dress, butterfly wings, wand and number.
Dry-embossing the dress added some needed texture to the layout. I used some sheer shimmery ribbon strips in my stash (previous Dollar store find...and stocked in several colors!), which I taped to a shimmery iridescent glitter ribbon for a sash.
The inside says Fairy Birthday Wishes using "Fairy" cut from the phrases on the cartridge.
I think the dress was cut at 3" and the wings too, but I learned that I should have a notebook by the Cricut to record my cut sizes, so I can come back later and cut the complements at the same size without guessing.
That would be important especially if I'm using a special paper or one that I only have 1 sheet.
I had a lot of fun putting this card together! Thank you for looking and have a magical fairy day!
I've been using the same set of paisley pink and brown papers for the baby shower. I've made a banner, invitations, and the menu cards. I have enough papers left to make quite a few items, but I quickly made a special baby shower card on Friday night for the Shower, which has finally occurred.
Then there's a long look at my table because on one end is the banner for baby Clara Ann. This is my extension table. Do you think I have enough scissors? LOL.This week slipped away from me...I just completed my Mojo Monday card this morning... which would be Thursday... hmm... been a little busy. However, the crafting must go on.
I was able to create a card using the papers that I've been working with for my friend's daughter's baby shower.
My new E2 internal alphabet cartridge has a beautiful doily in it so I cut it out on the Cricut.
On my first try I am embossed it with and black embossing powder, but then decided that the chestnut embossing powder would go with the papers better, so I redid it.
I used a favorite Stampin ' Up stamp from the retired Illuminations set and a Martha Stewart border punch.
Not a complicated card. I could easily change up this sketch for other purposes.
Thanks for visiting today!
The Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge has shapes that fit the chipboard banner. They were easy to cut and have layers that coordinate. The scalloped circles are also on the cartridge, and the letters are in the Cricut alphabet cartridge that came with the E2. I think I'm loving my new Christmas toy. I never thought I would make a banner, much less one that coordinated. I don't think I will sign up for the Cricut craft room, though. It seems like too much work and some part of the creativity is getting away from the computer.
I was in such danger of being buried under the piles of projects...and due to some ahem...comments. So that was my Friday night project.![]() |

I made a quick card this morning using CTMH Avonlea paper.
Since I cut the background paper with the flower centered on it (not on purpose), that became my starting point. I layered the patterned CTMH Avonlea paper with Twilight and used Slate as the card base, after inking the edges of the layers with Twilight exclusive ink.
The sentiment is from the Cricut Artiste collection Kudos stamp set. This set comes with the Artiste Cricut cartridge.
Even though I added ribbon and a bow, it seemed a little plain to me so I used the Artiste cartridge (still finding new ways to use it) and cut out the flourishes from both Twilight and Slate cardstock. I am so happy with that cartridge!
Then I used punched a scalloped circle from Twilight paper and punched a one-inch circle from the reverse side of the Avonlea duo paper.
I layered those in the middle of the background rosette and finished it off with a gem from the Later Sk8r workshop to go packet.
It was a snap to put together before I had to run to work!
I spent a lot of time with Later Sk8r paper and made 19 cards so far...so I went back to the Dream Pop paper and made a couple more before the promotion ends. I have plenty of paper to keep making these beautiful cards, though, so stay tuned for even more cards on this crafty blog.
Created for my dad. I'm pretty sure he won't be looking on my blog. Although he could possibly navigate to it from Facebook...hmmm. He's a pretty smart guy.
Other: Stars Embossing Folder, Baker's Twine, bradsI was able to spend Friday and Saturday nites playing in my craft area...and working on some Dream Pop cards. I didn't want to mess up too much paper in the Cricut, so it was slow going after a couple of false starts. I learned that to make pleated circles, I need to cut them at 1/2 the final size. For 2-inch circles, the folds are then at 1/8"...which are tiny! But the card came out adorable!!! I did case the design from Pamela O'Connor, to give credit where credit is due.
Wish I had more time to make cards but life, housework and grocery intervened. Life is good -- went to a friend's daughter's bridal shower and I had "date nite" with DH and saw Ironman III. So, a very good weekend!
