MOJO300-Peachy

Today's Mojo sketch has so many elements - a circle, square, 2 pennants, an embellishment, and a background layer. I didn't really think outside the box, but I had fun!
I used CTMH Slate cardstock as the card base while the background layer is Avonlea Green, and added a layer of Avonlea patterned paper.
The pennant is in Avonlea Off White and a dry-embossing folder to add texture. The circle is 2-1/4, from another Avonlea pattern in the paper pack.
This design showcases one of the stamps in the July Stamp of the Month, Sweet Life! I heat-embossed it with Detailed Black embossing powder and used watercolor pencils to add color, then layered it on Avonlea Green.

The sentiment is in the For a Friend set, in Outdoor Denim Ink, layered on Avonlea Teal. A brown button tied with baker's twine adds a nice touch! Thank you for looking today and congrats to Mojo Mondays for hitting a milestone! Thanks for the fun!

Avonlea Pirouette

I put together a quick CTMH Avonlea thank you card using the Pirouette MyAcrylix stamp. 

First I cut the stamp shape using the Cricut Artiste cartridge, and stamped on it with Twilight ink. 

I used Avonlea patterned paper as a background layer on a Slate cardstock base. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat-embossed it with Zing Chestnut embossing powder.

Thanks is in the A Flowering Bunch stamp set, but I masked off the part that said "a bunch" with a sticky note so it just said Thanks. Masking is a great technique that I am still learning how to use!

I used a piece of the Avonlea patterned paper zip strip horizontally to give added dimension.

I cut a few little shapes on the Cricut, with the Artiste cartridge, at 1 to 1-3/4 in complementary colors, and layered them with a small punched circle on top. 

A bronze brad matched perfectly and holds them all together. The sheer ribbon bow adds just a little necessary accent.

Congrats Quick Card

I made a quick card this morning using CTMH Avonlea paper.

Since I cut the background paper with the flower centered on it (not on purpose), that became my starting point. I layered the patterned CTMH Avonlea paper with Twilight and used Slate as the card base, after inking the edges of the layers with Twilight exclusive ink.

The sentiment is from the Cricut Artiste collection Kudos stamp set. This set comes with the Artiste Cricut cartridge.

Even though I added ribbon and a bow, it seemed a little plain to me so I used the Artiste cartridge (still finding new ways to use it) and cut out the flourishes from both Twilight and Slate cardstock. I am so happy with that cartridge!

Then I used punched a scalloped circle from Twilight paper and punched a one-inch circle from the reverse side of the Avonlea duo paper.
I layered those in the middle of the background rosette and finished it off with a gem from the Later Sk8r workshop to go packet.
It was a snap to put together before I had to run to work!
